Kunsthal KAdE Amersfoort, Utrecht Province, The Netherlands

3.5 (56 reviews) Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #21 in Amersfoort Art Museums

Basically interesting place...

This was pretty much average experience. Theme of the exhibition was mirrors and yes, there was dozens of artistic items with mirrors, but surprisingly there was not surprises. This was ok and where I will also next time when I'll be in Amersfoort.

    Worth a visit
We enjoyed the exhition on Afro-American Art, which runs this winter in KAdE. It gives a good insight in the development of black art in the USA during the last century. There is still room for more, the museum seems to be developed a bit more itself in the future. The Museumjaarkaart is valid, the Rembrandt kaart not, (strange enough...)

    English please
Not having a permanent collection permits the museum to be even more creative. I think they succeeded. Originally, we wanted visited the Christmas market at Eemplein, where you will find the usual shops and a cinema, 10 minutes walk from the station. The Christmas market turned out to be not big enough to justify a visit from out-of-towners. Fortunately we saw the museum! The museum itself is an exciting building with lots of spaces and corridors. Don’t forget to go to the library next door, which is part of the whole complex! Every 3-4 months the exhibition changes. Please Kade, realise that you have enough to offer to international art lovers! English information would be much appreciated.
