Best morning coffee, afternoon tea and lunch. Anna's smaakatelier is situated at 4 Grote Sint Jansstraat in Amersfoort. Anna won the dutch baking contest two years ago and now she has her own little shop. Her cakes have very specific and delicate flavours. I highly recommend a visit to Anna's Smaakatelier!

Once part of medieval city defense
This gate was part of the first city wall fortifications built in the 1250s. After the second larger wall ring was established roughly 300 years later, a significant part of the old gate was demolished. What you see is to a large extent a result of reconstruction in later ages. Still an impressive monument and providing a historic touch to an otherwise modern city.

Nice view during the day and at night
Nice view during the day and at night. 1 of the main things to see around while walking in the center of Amersfoort. Small streets with a medieval ambient.
