    Mandatory Shuttle
Most of the year, shuttle use is mandatory to reduce traffic congestion and parking hassles in the park. They are based at the Visitors Center and there are multiple buses. They run continuously, stopping at the Zion Lodge and trailheads. One can hop on or off at any of the scheduled stops. The drivers usually have a sheet listing trails and attractions, and they also provide information regarding places to refill water bottles, the location of bathrooms, and the way to trailheads.

Any month is a good time to visit. School year is great to avoid the big crowds
During our long family trip we took several days to visit the national park. Because we had a rental car we were unable to access the parks bus route road. We ended up taking the bus and got off a few times to enjoy the certain areas within the park. Due to the time of the month we visited (September), there was very little people in the shuttle bus which made for finding seats very simple and not a big hassle. Again time of the year and the month makes all the differences when it comes to enjoying the parks. Using the shuttle bus at this park reminds me of visiting any of the Disney parks during the low and NOT so busy times of the year. The park staff member that we talked to was not only friendly and knowledgeable, I liked and enjoyed listening to them. Very good speakers. I honestly don’t know how visitors can rate the shuttle bus a two or one star when they provide us knowledge of the park, able to answer questions in any form and also explain why/ how come. Showing and knowing is what makes knowing something visitors don’t know, that much more interesting the parks can be. Even for fist timers.
