Great museum with so many excellent pieces of ironwork. If you aren't a blacksmith you will find this place fascinating. If you go early or off season Metke, the museum curator may have time to tell you all about the town and it's interesting history. Wonderful place. They have an Iron festival in July!

Nice museum in a nice village
The museum shows many nice examples of iron craftworks, unfortunately most of the descriptions are only in slovenian... There's a souvenir shop on the groundfloor. Take your time for having a walk in the village (no more than 30 minutes), here it seems that time has frozen

a piece of history
it is nice to visit that village to see how life used to be and all about iron forging. Small museum, lovely restored old house.... The village can be visited on a less travelled road between Radovljica (Bled) and Železniki, Škofj loka...
