Pichlinger See, Upper Austria, Austria
4.0 (23 reviews) Spent 2-3 hours Ranking #27 in Linz Bodies of Water
free and natural
The Pichlinger lake is a free and natural lake in Linz. It is in the southeast of Linz and provides some places to eat. I think that the eastern bay is the best for bathing, but this is just a personal opinion. Many critical voices forget that this lake is complimentary and some better ones have high entrance fees.

Stopped to cool off
Stopped here while passing through on a motorbike. It was at least 34 degrees but great to get into the shade. Could not resist dipping my feet into the water which was surprisingly warm. Lets of people enjoying the water and lots of shade which was a bonus. A nice area to visit with quite allot going on. Found parking for a motorbike was easy and free.
