Serene Way to Enjoy Hallstatt
We rented an electric boat on the lake for an hour. I could have stayed out there all afternoon. This was heavenly. You've got to do it. It's very quiet and serene on the water, and we had a lovely breeze while were out on the water. The boats are easy to drive. You don't need any boat experience. They only have one speed and no reverse. They have a sunshade which you can put up if you want to get some shade. Plus, it's amazingly cheap! It's a beautiful way to see Hallstatt and also get away from the horde of tourists. It's very romantic out on the water by yourselves.

Fantastic electric boat trip
We rented an electric boat of 500W and drove around in the Hallstatt Lake for half an hour. It was really relaxing and enjoyable to drive a boat in this peaceful lake under the mild sunshine and cool wind. We originally thought we could drive under the boat roof but we were asked to pull the roof down to avoid damaging the boat as the wind was strong. Luckily, the sunshine was not too strong so we still found it comfortable. The half-hour boat ride was fantastic and we considered the duration sufficient if you are not going to drive too far away (e.g. to Obertraun). The boat is easy to drive and no boat experience is needed. We would definitely recommend it.

You must rent a boat in Hallstatt!
This was one of the highlights of our travels through Europe. We grabbed some beers on a hot sunny day, then rented one of these boats and had such an amazing time admiring Hallstatt from the water. Highly recommend!
