Great building, wonderful museum - extraordinary views!!!
This museum is situated in what used to be city-hall. The building itself, in the main old town square, is superb. The museum has a very nice collection - not too daunting, with some good 13-15 cent. art, a surprisingly fine ceramic collection - and... a porch to die for - with views of the whole town and valley. A must stop in this splendid town

Well worth a visit
It is a spectacular building, well worth a visit. However, it is not friendly for older individuals who have some mobility issues. No railing up the steps to the museum and a long stairwell to the art collection There is an elevator what takes you up from the city to plaza and also up to the church. We walked up and are in our 70s and managed just fine. But it is steep! Gubbio is a must see overall and probably the best city we have visited in Italy with directions to all the sites, with walking times. Parking was very easy.
