    Wonderful discovery
We found ourselves waiting for service on our Motorhome in Red Bay Alabama and found this while searching for interesting places to visit in the area. It is owned by a very nice couple who have put many hours into marking and maintaining the many trails along the canyon rim and the waterfall and overlook. They provide a sheet of information as well. You do need to sign in and out, but is all free. There was even a selection of walking sticks to borrow, which I’d highly recommend as there is a lot of loose gravel and some high stepping here and there, but it is not strenuous. We loved our visit.

    Planning to Go Back!
We are a family that likes to hike, and after reading the reviews we decided we would have to check it out. It is off the beaten path, and at one point my family wasn't certain that they wanted to keep going to find it. Glad we did! We were greeted by a sweet college student who is studying to be a park ranger. We checked in with her and looked at the map before starting our journey. It's October, and there's been quite a drought, so the waterfalls were pretty dry or non-existent, but it's still very beautiful there. The lookout spot is amazing. I think it's so nice that they have stations with fresh water on the trails and outhouses with toilet paper (although we never used any of it). Thank goodness they have markers throughout the trails letting you know how to get back or where to go to see something. It would be easy to get lost otherwise. It's a gorgeous property. We also made use of their walking sticks at check in. There are some areas that are more difficult to travel than others. We plan to go back another time and explore more when we have more time.
