Avenue of the Baobabs, Toliara Province, Madagascar

Incredible place for photography!
Absolutely beautiful destination, which is a must see. The sunrise and sunset (and the night time) is absolutely beautiful and makes some incredible photos. The road to get there is very bumpy, but it’s all part of the adventure. We hired a tuk-tuk driver to take us there and back from Morondava for 80,000 ariary. There is a restaurant just next to the avenue which serves really great food

Just like the social media photos portray
Yes, I went to snap my own social media photos (see me on insta @borderlessplayground) and pleased with my results from my crappy old iPhone6. I actually visited on sunset the evening I arrived - this seems to be the most popular time to visit. After everyone has walked up & down the 'street' taking their photos, they then group together (see photo to see average tourist numbers) to take the sunset photos. The following day, I happened to be 'passing through' at sunrise, and got my best shots. I was the only one there! I got my best shots at this time. On my return trip back to Morondava around lunchtime, there was some tourists there that had been there the night before - but only about 8.

Beautiful sunset at the baobabs
289/5000 'Allee de Baobab', the most visited and famous tourist attraction in Madagascar. We look for a strategic place and can take some magical pictures of the baobab trees against a background of the setting sun. For this we spent ten hours in the car!
