I had half a day off and decided to visit the sites of Moramanga, as I was visiting a customer in the region. Found in the Military Barracks of the are. For anyone who happens to be in the area this is something not to be missed. Moramanga doesn't have much else to its name but this is worth an hour or two. It is a well preserved and relatively well set out military/ Police museum showing the history of Madagascar with a military feel.Amazingly well kept, set out and in good condition. Only down side everything is in French.(Consider Moramanga was where the opposition to French rule started in 1947). Also check opening times ( not sure how) but we arrived in the morning to be told it opens 14:00

interesting museum
Very few travellers come to visit this place as it is rarely proposed by travel agency/tour operator in Madagascar. In case that you have few days available, it can be visited on the way to Andasibe or while driving back from Andasibe to Antananarivo. It helps to know the history of Madagascar and the gendarme corp. I recommended to come with a translator. My driver did it for me.
