better to visit in evening before sunset

as the tower has entrance ticket, it is better to go inside in the evening before sunset to have overview of the city, after sunset you will fint totally different view of the city with colorful lights .

    Up, up, and away!
The elevator ride is fantastic. For only 50RMB, you can dig deep into your childhood fantasies, don an imaginary cape (or panda hat), and pretend to be the Man (or Woman) of Steel flying into the stratosphere to fight crime or rescue a damsel in distress. Once you're at the top, you might be able to catch a glimpse of the city on a good day. Come in the late afternoon and you can witness the entire metropolis gradually transform into a sea of phosphorescent lights. You might even see your esteemed employer the Daily Planet far off in the distance along Dagu Nan Road. Seriously – there’s a building with a planet on top, and ironically enough the building is home to the People’s Daily Newspaper. Then it’s back down to the ground, and back to your old boring life of Clark Kent. But there’s always more crime to fight tomorrow. And maybe another 50 RMB in your pocket.

Good view but don't buy anything
I went on the tower on a nice and sunny day while sitting there and watching the sunset with my family. I sadly made the mistake to order to cups of coffee which ended up costing 220. 110 per cup!!! So, the food and drinks are crazy pricy and not of the best quality either but the view is quite nice. As far as I remember the tickets where around 50 per person
