Nice Area for a Walk or Dinner

We had a pleasant walk through this area while we walked through many of the attractions of Tianjin. There's lots of nice restaurants and bars lining the pedestrian streets of this area and Italian replica architecture and statues. Families seemed be enjoying this area and it is pleasant enough to go on a date to as well.

    Tianjin’s Little Italy
Tianjin’s Little Italy is load with restaurants and other concessions, most a touch on the expensive side. Our lunch was not as good as I would typically find in an average quality restaurant in Europe.

    Italian Style in Northern China
What a little-known quirk of history this place is. In the early twentieth century Italy managed to gain a few hundred acres of the concession port of Tianjin for itself and set about creating the only Asian part of the Italian colonial empire right there. But though it is of diminutive size, the district boasts some extraordinary architecture. There are rows of century-old villas, apartment blocks and even a few elaborate mansions. There is a Meditteranean sumptousness to the buildings, which makes this area stand out even in a city filled with colonial-era structures. The area is now an upmarket night spot, filled with very trendy cafes, restaurants and live music spots; this is about as cosmpolitan as China gets, really.
