Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center, Texas, United States

More than just a neighborhood pool!

My family loves Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center! It's located in the back of the park, so you might overlook it the first time. Plenty of parking spaces nearby. Entry is typically $6-$6.50 with only infants under 12 months getting in free. Even non-swimmers must pay entrance. Inside you'll find a 1 foot shallow toddler pool, a deeper pool, a waterslide, and a small lazy river. The pools are great, and all monitored by lifeguards. Lounge chairs are limited, but there is plenty of room on the concrete or lawn. Some areas are shaded by large umbrellas. A covered pavilion is available for parties. You will also find restrooms, lockers ($5 fee + $5 refundable deposit), a first aid center, and snack bar. Example food prices are $2 hotdogs, $4 nachos, $3 pizza slice, $1.50 bottled water, $2 sodas with $1 refills, and $1 candy. I think these are GREAT prices for a "mini" waterpark. My kids love visiting, and I love being able to see them from my lounge chair! Great value!

    Summer Day Fun
This is a great pool for the kids. $6.50 for anyone over 48 inches and $6 for anyone under. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and they offer 2 for the price of one that day. It was really crowded, but we still had fun. The little "river" with a current that pushes you along is really neat and the big slide is fun. If you have a child 5 and under, an adult has to be in the water with them at all times. There isn't any real deep part to this pool. An area to eat in. There is a snack bar or you can bring a picnic lunch to eat there. It looks like an older pool: paint faded and chipped. The bathrooms were poorly lit and needed more attention. But, my 2 boys (age 5 and 9) had a blast.

Inexpensive way to cool off in Texas summer...
This is a nice little place to cool off, and is very inexpensive. There is a lazy river and a few splash areas for the kids, plus a food stand to purchase snacks (you can also bring in your own food and drinks). It's not huge like Hurricane Harbor or Hawaiian Falls, but I actually prefer it that way!
