  9. 4.5 College Park Center (35 reviews)

    Arenas & Stadiums
    College Park Center image
I really like this indoor arena. It's located on the campus of UTA (University of Texas Arlington) with easy in-and-out access via the large parking garage next door. We paid $10.00 event parking and walked maybe 500 feet to the arena entrance. The interior layout is beautiful. The basketball court is the center focus with two tiers of seating all the way around. There is not a bad seat in the house even in the second tier. We were there for the UNI vs. UTA basketball game. I found the UTA fans to be excited, engaged and friendly. Overall, a great atmosphere. Concessions are located around the perimeter of the building behind the stadium seats. They are clean, orderly and nice looking. Restrooms are very clean. This is a great venue for sports, graduations and concerts. See more..

  13. 4.5 Legal Draft Beer Company (25 reviews)
    - So happy to have found you!
    Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
    Legal Draft Beer Company image
I worked in a brewery in college and I've always appreciated a good beer. Was out to dinner one night and the server recommended an IPA from a "local brewery" in Arlington (where I live). I had not yet heard of Legal...but I was very pleasantly surprised with the IPA. It might actually be the best I've had. Hops, citrus, etc...was just right. I was even more excited to learn the brewery was like three minutes from my house. We visited the spotless taproom yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. $15 gets you three tokens and a souvenir glass. About ten beers on tap, plus root beer and a coffee drink I believe. Very laid back. Wooden tables, steel, ping pong, oversized board games, and kid friendly. I don't believe the brewery serves good, but the did have a meatball vendor set up onsite. The only negative here is that you can't purchase a growler to go. Nevertheless, I anticipate visiting frequently. See more..

  24. 4.0 Globe Life Field (28 reviews)
    - Nice, modern ballpark
    Sports Complexes
    Globe Life Field image
Wife and I wanted to catch a game (and chalk another ballpark off of our list) while visiting Dallas. Not a big place at all, sitting just over 40,000. They built it up instead of wide which gives fans sitting at the upper levels a better view. Feels like you are right above the field. Lots of video displays to watch highlights of plays during the game. Very family friendly with bars and restaurants outside the stadium and areaa where kids can as well as plenty of picnic tables to enjoy inside the stadium. Added bonus was that it happened to be $1 hot dog day (Wednesdays), which made the $12 beers go down a little easier! See more..

  26. 4.0 Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center (15 reviews)
    - More than just a neighborhood pool!
Monday: 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM Water Parks
Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center image
My family loves Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center! It's located in the back of the park, so you might overlook it the first time. Plenty of parking spaces nearby. Entry is typically $6-$6.50 with only infants under 12 months getting in free. Even non-swimmers must pay entrance. Inside you'll find a 1 foot shallow toddler pool, a deeper pool, a waterslide, and a small lazy river. The pools are great, and all monitored by lifeguards. Lounge chairs are limited, but there is plenty of room on the concrete or lawn. Some areas are shaded by large umbrellas. A covered pavilion is available for parties. You will also find restrooms, lockers ($5 fee + $5 refundable deposit), a first aid center, and snack bar. Example food prices are $2 hotdogs, $4 nachos, $3 pizza slice, $1.50 bottled water, $2 sodas with $1 refills, and $1 candy. I think these are GREAT prices for a "mini" waterpark. My kids love visiting, and I love being able to see them from my lounge chair! Great value! See more..

  30. 3.0 Studio Movie Grill (Arlington Highlands) (132 reviews)
    - Wait, What? 18% automatic gratuity
    Theaters
Studio Movie Grill (Arlington Highlands) image
2 Stars because of the server. Let me start by saying the young man who provided service to us was wonderful and attentive. The problem I have is why is SMG adding 18% gratuity to my order automatically regardless of the number of people. I have no problem adding a tip/gratuity but to make it automatic that makes no sense. SMG should increase the pay of their employees and not force an added charge to customer's bill. Very disappointed. I'm not going back. See more..
