George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, Texas, United States

A wonderful upgrade and addition

Be sure to go and enjoy our new library. There is space for everyone, a lovely reception area, lots of cubbies for studying and connecting to the 'net. An exemplary children's area and library. It is a lot of fun to browse through the old editions of the Arlington Newspaper.

    Very Modern and Well Organized
I usually go to a branch near my house but I wanted to see the big new library. It is downtown so parking can be tricky but once you find the parking garage it's just a walk across the street. Beautiful and big library.

Great place to spend leisure time
I've been to this library more than a few times. Great upgrade! Easy to find what you're looking for, kid friendly, very resourceful. Although this is the ONLY branch that offers scanning capability (all branches only offer copy services), it is still a very nice facility. Clean, multiple floors, various resource centers, friendly staff, free parking. Highly recommended.
