Nice views from 179
We went tent camping and the views were amazing! The downfall is, lots of visitors to the cliff even early morning while we were still sleeping. It looks like a tree had fallen recently and they removed it, leaving us with very little shade. There was water on site, which is always a bonus. The water at the beach was fairly clear which was a great surprise and there was no trash when we went. Beware, the steps are STEEP. They are the stairs of torture!! The downfall - the bathrooms. They weren't very clean which was our first time to experience this. We were very disappointed. The men's restroom looked like it had been renovated and was much nicer. Will we be back, yes. The overall place was VERY clean and everyone was friendly

Nice park, muddy hiking, adequate facilities
The Good: Nice views of Lake Texoma The Bad: It seemed like most hiking trails were completely natural, so the day we were there, it had rained heavily about 5 days prior, the trails were very muddy that we aborted multiple trails. Probably perfectly fine in a dry stretch. Overview: So let me start by stating that this is probably my first state park outside of my own state of Wisconsin. Wisconsin has a number of incredible state parks with varying levels of facilities in each. I would put this state park as average in comparison. Easy to find, it has very nice views of Lake Texoma and the facilities seem good, not great. It would seem that this park is best suited for campers as there are sites throughout the park. This somewhat limits the usage of the rest of the park for daily visitors. There are a few places to park, to hike, and get some nice views. But for a park being on the shores of Lake Texoma, I expected more places to view the lake. There were really only a couple places easily accessible to us. Again, maybe it's a lot better for campers, easy to walk from a number of sites to some nice viewing areas. I thought admission was reasonable and the facilities at the gate were very good. The gate attendant was very nice so we had no issues during our visit.
