Pantai Teluk Bidara, Terengganu, Malaysia

A hidden gem

This is one of the best beaches in the East Coast of Malaysia without going out the coast to the islands. The water is so blue and turquoise. The beach is clean and was not overcrowded (Possibly as not many people will divert into this place). There was a small little "cave" at the bay where the rocks are and it is facing the South China Sea. Definitely worth a stop and enjoy the view.

A hidden gem but lacking in facilities
This is a beautiful beach, great for a picnic and exploring the surroundings. At the far end, there is a road leading up to a lighthouse - unfortunately it was locked during my visit. At low tide, there is an accessible cave nestled among the rocks at the very end of the beach. If you make your way to the other side, there is a rugged landscape of rock overlooking the sea. Gorgeous view, but be very careful as the rocks underfoot were sharp and jagged. This area is a real hidden gem, just a pity that the facilities were so run down. The public toilet was completely unusable, full of rubbish. On top of that, visitors seem to have left their trash without any care for the environment. Please clean up after yourselves!

    Beautiful beach
The beach is very beautiful, clean and not crowded. The water/ocean was blue-greenish colours, however it seems not very safe to swim there since the waves were quite strong (went there in late March). It is a nice place to relax and chill, or have picnic.
