Nice walking biking path

Really nice path that extends practically all the way through Kingsport. You have to get off at one point to go all the way but it's a great ride or walk if you just cover what extends without getting off the path. There are shady areas , deer, ducks, a creek that runs along side....paths that go up to areas to eat , or shop. So you can take a break if you want.....check out a bike shop...get coffee at Starbucks ...another point where you come up to Petsmart, Tj Max , Ross, Ashley Furniture...Chilis , Olive Garden to name a few places in that Center. We love riding our bikes there

Great Access to Kingsport Birding Trail
Free public parking at several access points to the Kingsport Birding Trail - a series of natural areas full birds and wildlife. Several habitat varieties including miles of river and creek side tree canopy shaded on the greenbelt. New river recreation culture is booming with rental floats and kayaks from Grip Outdoors Kingsport and Beer wine coffee and tea at Hibbert Davis Brews. Something for everyone!

    What a treasure
Today was our first time to walk the Kpt. Greenbelt, and we love it. The paths are wide and flat. There are plenty of benches, trash cans, and even a water fountain. We parked at East Stone Dr. Commons and went to the side of Petsmart to park. There are a lot of ducks at this part of trail. We walked to the right. There are plenty of shaded areas and then areas in full sun. The trail follows Reedy creek and is just beautiful and peaceful. The only rules I saw posted were if you are running, skating, or biking keep it to 2 abreast and stay to the right. If you are skating or biking warn people you are passing. This greenbelt is fabulous for families to get outside and spend time together and exercise.
