Great rec center and park
Considering the size of the town, the Shelbyville Recreation Center and Park are pretty great! The rec center building has gyms, a walking track, fitness/weightlifting room, ping pong, rooms to rent, racquetball, an indoor pool, and outdoor pool. The outside park area has playgrounds, disc golf course, softball, baseball, tennis courts, a walking track, and plenty of open spaces. They also have a great fireworks display on July 4th.

When it’s hot this is a great place to cool down
When it’s hot this is a great place to cool down. It does need better kids areas. But over all not bad

A fantastic community resource.
This is an excellent facility. It includes a fitness room with elliptical machines, radial bikes, treadmills, weight machines, free weights, an indoor and outdoor walking tracks. It also has an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool. Meeting rooms are also available on a rental basis. All indoor activities are available to resisdents as well as out of town visitors for very reasonable daily fees.
