IT'S THE BEST,, FOR ALL AGES,
I have been going to HO for about 35 years, I have raised my children there, our grand girls, and now we are taking the 3rd generation of nieces and nephews. Never have had a complaint. Only got in trouble one time, we were picking and singing and it came upon quiet time. So I quit w/ just one more David Allen Coe song, but the guy didn't have me arrested, great people, and there are no words to describe the fun or the memories, and I took my wildest ride this past weekend when I missed the shoot and the boat went up and I went under, but the crowd cheered, Glen Williams, Hokes Bluff Alabama

Highly Recommend
We've been trying to plan a trip to Hiwassee Outfitters for over a year now, and finally made the plans to go tube down the river. My husband and I booked a tandem kayak instead, and I'm super glad the employee Melissa talked me out of using a tube for my first time. Every employee was awesome, and helpful, and I'm super grateful for that. The tandem kayak was incredibly sturdy, too. I'm a big person and was worried about this. I'm a chicken, and prefer "lazy river" type adventures, so I'll be honest and say this trip stressed me out something awful. I'm lucky my husband puts up with me, and was able to help when we got stuck because I was mostly freaking out. There's no way I would have been happy at all in a tube. So, if you're like me, make sure you're riding with someone who knows what they're doing. Although, most people like me probably wouldn't do this type of thing. Ha. You will get stuck on a lot of rocks. We went after a lot of rain, and couldn't imagine going when the water is much lower. I'd highly recommend Hiwassee Outfitters if you're planning an adventure on the river!

Great trip. Would use Hiwassee Outfitters again.
Our family had a great day on the river. The raft was in excellent shape. The trip was well organized by Hiwassee Outfitters and they were punctual. We took a clean, air conditioned bus to the drop off point. The store has a lot of cool merchandise and tshirts. The life vests were older, but functional and they were sanitized after every use. And the Outfitters dog was incredibly cute.
