What an absolutely delightful day sailing across the Somosomo Straight. Beautiful weather, beautiful friends, and the splendor of sailing the oceans of Fiji on a nice catamaran. What more can you ask for? Well you also get Paul and Helena. What great people. We had this amazing lunch - fresh salad, muffins, bread sticks, and one of the best lasagna dishes ever that Helena prepares in a kitchen the size of a postage stamp, amazing! If you like fishing, ask Paul if you can throw out the hand line and try your luck with one of Helena's lures. You just might land a giant Waloo. Must do when in Taveuni.

fantastic!!!!!!!
apologies to paul and helena for the tardiness of this review. my family recently got to experience what an all-inclusive resort should be, when we booked a 10 day trip to vacala bay resort. from the 5 nights we spent at the villa through the 5 nights spent on their catamaran "looping", we indulged in lovely accommodations, great snorkelling, anchorages at hidden coves (complete with bioluminescence), hikes to pristine waterfalls and most importantly, hosts that know how to host. we were doted over in a luxurious, yet not cloying way. if one wanted to talk, they both proved to be brilliant conversationalists, and if you wanted to do your own thing, they knew when to make space. and finally there was the food and libations, which i can not begin to adequately compliment. suffice it to say, that helena's ability to create tasty, interesting meals presented in beautiful fashion was simply fantastic, and paul was quick to keep our glasses filled with well chosen wine pairings. we will definitely be going back.

Amazing sailing experience and great hosts!!!
Me and my wife went on our honeymoon to Fiji and decided to escape the touristic areas and explore less known islands. We came across the island of Taveuni, very easily accessible from Nadi or Suva (1hr beautiful flight). There we had this amazing sailing experience during a few days on a spacious and very clean catamaran. The skipper and his wife, Paul and Heli, were extremely kind and shared with us all the local secrets of this magical region. We kite surfed, we visited deserted island, beaches, snorkeled with mantas, visited under water volcano craters, fished tuna, etc. All this while being treated with the best "home made" food cooked. While you share the boat, Paul and Heli both make sure you still have your privacy and space. Fully recommend this experience!!!
