Fun place

Since our last visit twenty five years ago, the surroundings have improved remarkably with dedicated parking space, entry and exit clearly demarcated and the lake activities more organised, boating the most sought after. Food stalls are in plenty as are shops selling souvenirs, clothes, toys and local products. A must visit.

Had a great time doing boating. My son loved it . Highly recommended.
We had been to Ooty lake on oct 2021, its well maintained and also has option to do boating in the lake. You have several options and we selected a motor boat for 3 of us and my son loved it. The operator of the boat was friendly person and he allowed my son to sail it for some time. God experience. Recommended !!

Like any other lake.
I visited this place since it is often captured in bollywood movies. The enty to the lake premises gated and costs Rs 15 per person. The boating activities have standardized rates . Couple of other adventure activities are also available. I did not find the lake water to be clean enough nor the surroundings are serene. Mostly families with kids visit this place and probably that makes it an ordinary lake with with a lot of man made and commercialized environment. - About 2 km from main Ooty Bus stand . I walked the distance. - A well constructed lake side walk is present which may offer you couple non noisy avenues to observe and enjoy the lake.
