Studios, small galleries, dining...all on the waterfront.
Always eager to learn new techniques and find inspiration, I often search the internet for workshops, tutorials and classes by renowned teaching artists. I also enjoy day-tripping to cultural centers and arts districts around Florida, and several months ago I discovered the Fish House Art Center in Stuart. This is a quaint facility that includes several charming art studios, one of them being the Aya Fiber Studio, where I took a two-day workshop. Fun place to go, even if you are just browsing the area! Restaurant on site, and terrific view of the Manatee Pocket and the many beautiful fishing boats moored there.

Great place to hang out, lots to do
The Fish House Art Center is an awesome spot. There are several galleries here. It's always fun to walk into the shops and interact with the artists. The Twisted Tuna Craft & Creamery is awesome. Craft beers for the adults, ice cream for the kiddos (or big kids, too!). Awesome place to sit down and watch the boats come and go. If you're in the Stuart area, it's a must-stop location.
