A surprising free museum in Stockholm that worth the visit
We were in Stockholm before the start of a 14 day tour of Scandinavia tour and on the day after our arrival, we walked to the Royal Palace to visit the Royal Armony. First of all, there was no entry fee which surprised us and we spent over 3 hours in this museum which was fantastic. Not only did the exhibits showed armor that were worn but also men and women formal wear thru the ages. There were also exhibits of royal horse carriages of all different styles. We highly recommend visiting this museum to get a sense of what Swedish royal worn and the horse carriages they used.

    Swedish royal armory made interesting!
Visited on a wet Saturday afternoon and due to Covid restrictions and had to wait outside for about 10 minutes. This is another very good, free Stockholm museum detailing the history of royal armory in Sweden and is located on the side of the Palace. There is an excellent collection of artifacts/ costumes etc presented in an interesting way in both English (and Swedish). My only issue is that the video footage is at the end of the museum. I missed this but was told it was very useful. This would have been more logical at the beginning on the Museum. Every other(?) showing is English. The top floor has no exhibits. As with other reveiwers, we were pleasantly surprised.
