Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde, originally the home of Prince Eugen, is now among the most-visited art museums in Sweden. In the Mansion the Prince's Private Apartments remain mostly unchanged, while the two upper floors and the Gallery building are used for temporary exhibitions or for exhibiting works by the Prince or from his collections. The estate is set in a beautiful parkland, featuring centuries-old oak trees. Its situation by the inlet to Stockholm harbour presents the visitor with stunning views of the water. Palace and garden of art
Prince Eugen had a beautiful house built with adjacent art gallery, with a beautiful garden and view of Stockholm. The interior has several of his great paintings of the surrounding area and by some of his artist friends. Entrance fee is a bit high. Nearby, a few minutes walking, is a nice café.

Charming place
The area is lovely and we enjoyed a long walk to get here. The etate’s main building have some very nice periodic rooms. On the second and third floor there are exhibitions. We really enjoyed the future fashion exhibition showing young nordic designers. The gardens are charming as is the view.
