Panoramic Viewpoint of Stockholm

I would say this is a must visit in Stockholm since it’s not as touristy and it’s free! The walk to the viewpoint provided some good exercise. It’s within walking distance from Gamla Stan. Since we started from somewhere near Stockholm City Hall, we disembarked from a nearby metro station and walked from there. We struggled a bit with the Google Maps as it kept us looping around the perimeter, so it’s better to have an idea of its location, use your instinct, follow the sign, and you’ll definitely be there. Once you're up there, you’ll be rewarded with the panoramic view of Lake Malaren and the iconic architectures and sites of Stockholm although it was marred by some construction sites. Although it’s recommended to go for the sunset, the colour was not that spectacular but the charming view compensated for its shortfall. Do not forget Skinnarviksberget, another viewpoint which is only a few hundred meter away.

Great views
This 500-meter long walking path goes on the cliff of Mariaberget. You have magnificent views of Lake Mälaren, Stockholm City Hall, and Riddarholmen. The path is lined with charming houses on one side and a beautiful view on the other side.

Hidden gem
Lovely small path in Södermalm, close the Hilton hotel. Wonderful views over the water to the City Hall and Old Town. You can have a short walk and have a nice little picking in the green area at the beginning of the path. Highly recommended!
