What an impressive palace for Sweden's royal family

The Drottingholm Palace is a World Heritage Site because of its beauty and important history. It is comparable to Versailles. Check out the Court Theater and the Chinese Pavilion.

    Take the Guided Tour
We visited Drottingham Palace at the end of April on a Sunday. We took the guided tour lead by Linnea N. I would highly recommend the tour and if you are lucky enough to be placed with Linnea you will laugh and smile all the way round. Linnea has charm and wit that makes you want to engage in the tour with her. This is a beautiful palace with lovely grounds and lots to see. A great way to spend half a day.

    In the Slott
Drottningholm Slott is well-deserved in its status as a UNESCO world heritage site, as it's a wonderfully preserved example of a royal palace and gardens that is known as the Versailles of Scandinavia. The gardens were beautiful and we liked seeing a robotic lawn mower, which we had never seen before coming from Tasty America. The interior of the Slott was opulent and gorgeous, and particularly the second floor, which incorporated many elements of marble statues and designs that were reminiscent of Italian and French palaces. We visited the Slott by Stromma's boat tour, and cannot recommend Stromma highly enough. It's a great company and the ride was pleasant and beautiful.
