Great place, must see

Must see, great place, memorial view of waterfall, short trials along the river. Pure nature, natural gardens, peaceful. The steps to the bottom of the fall were closed for maintenance, but even so worth it.

    Waterfalls
Apparently this site is normally overrun with tourists (one observation platform had a max capacity of 75!) We went in the middle of the week and it was extremely peaceful. Beautiful falls, well-marked paths, lots of signage (with some English). 50 reals for the family. Walking is very easy, but we didn't do the 700 step drop to the bottom. Glad we got to enjoy it ourselves.

Awesome waterfall with other interesting park attractions
Entrance into the park is R$20. The waterfall is gorgeous. There is a nice lookout that juts out into the canyon which provides an outstanding viewpoint and nice place for photos. Some nice other things to see throughout the park including an interpretive center which describes the history, biology, geology, etc., information of the park and Caracol area. There are well some fairly well maintained paths that follow the upper portion of the river. It is not possible to reach the lower part of the falls. There are some food options in the park. It's a nice place to spend a couple of hours, and definitely a must visit if in the area.
