Worth the visit

Iberê Camargo was a great Brazilian artist and this museum offers a fairly good look into his work. The staff here were really friendly and informative. They guided us throughout our visit. They recommended we started our visit from the top floor and work our way down via the ramps. There was some cool art pieces, but after realising how prolific Iberê Camargo had been in life, I just wish there were more of his large paintings being exhibited here. There was lots of drawings, but painting-wise, I felt there wasn’t enough. There were some interactive parts of the museum which would be great for kids and the museum also offers cinema showings which are also free. They do welcome donations of course. It’s still definitely a must-see in Porto Alegre. It can be done in a couple of hours in the afternoon and you can watch the sunset right outside afterwards.

Modern building on the Guaiba shore
Modern, beautiful structure featuring generally well curated exhibits. Glass panels on the building's walls looking on the Guaiba river beautiful sunset views.
