The most awesome way to visit Alter de Chao!

A friend and I stumbled upon Selvagem Tours by chance and we thought it was just going to be an average boat trip. It turns out that not only Karlos is an amazing host who makes you feel totally welcome from the moment you set foot on his boat (you can tell it's not just a boat but his home you are entering), he is also extremely knowledgeable and totally accommodating to your needs. Unlike other tour operators you can entirely customize your trip when travelling with him. He takes great pride in listening to what it is you would like out of your trip and organise it accordingly. Totally recommended! Enjoyed it thoroughly. Too bad we only did day trips. Totally worth your while to sleep on board and go on longer trips. No better way to explore the area!

    Boto: pink dolphin experience
    These are not penned in. It is a natural experience. Yes, they are offered food for their interaction but it is very exciting. Safe for everyone. You stand in the water (Amazon River) several at a time. You can touch and feel the pink dolphins. They are gray when young. Getting pink as they mature. There is another huge fish you can try to lure and get. Good luck and have fun.

    a full day boat trip on the Tapajos rivier to Santarem and back
    A fantastic trip on this beauttiful and enormous river. The skipper who speaks a perfect english Will show you beautiful white beaches where you can swim in 30+ ° C clear waters. In the meantime while sailing superb fresh juiches and Caiperinhas are served. At lunch time the captain Will bring you to one of the best restaurants in the neighbourhood. Then on to Santarem to experience the encounters of the waters, quite spectaculair. During the return trip, while sipping another delicious Caiperinha, enjoy a spectaculair sunset on the river. A must do if you are so lucky to visit this part of Brasil. Walter from Belgium
