For the nature lovers

Excellent place to spend around 2 hours and take photos. I am sure sunset would be especially beautiful. Look for the blue-and-yellow macaws and the tucans!

    visit at sunset
We twice visited the Macau Lagoon as the sun was setting. This was a surreal experience as flocks of birds gather to rest for the night. As others have said, it's just beautiful. I think I uploaded one of my photos.

    Jurassic Park
Went twice on the Nobres Explorer Tour (very grateful that they were accommodating enough to take us back...read on). So this is a natural lake where at sunset legion of blue / yellow macaw head into the branches of semi submerged palm trees to chill out for the night. So whilst some play in the trees, others make colorful bypasses. And all the while that just can't stop themselves from squawking. It's an incredible visual and audio performance (frogs that sound like formula 1 cars join in). On the first evening we came, because of a thunderstorm that night that came in fast and we missed the matinee, so we came back to check it out. We'll worth the effort. Why the title - with the palms shimmering in the dusky lake's reflection, and parrots silhouetted against the darkening sky, you could imagine that this is what millions of years ago looked like.
