Fresh water snorkelling at its best
If you come to the Chapada dos Guimares National Park then do not miss the opportunity to snorkel down one of the clear water rivers. We stayed the night in the nearby Pousada Reino Encantado where we ate some of the best Brazilian food of our entire trip. The river water is crystal clear full of Neotropical fish including fresh water sting rays. Don't worry they are more afraid of you than you are of them. You start in a pool with natural spring water bubbling up through the sand bottom and you can float lazily down stream for about 1 km. In places you have to swim under fallen logs but being able to swim underwater down a stream and see a very different world is one not to be missed.

BRILLIANT English Speaking Guide for Nobres
We contacted Rodrigo about our first trip to Brazil: +55 65 9257-4363. We were looking for a English guide and Rodrigo’s English was perfect. Rodrigo was professional, responded quickly and as we were travelling during covid always kept us updated with the latest measures and made us feel safe. Our whole experience from start to finish was fantastic! We stayed in Nobres for three days and visited cachoeira da serra azul, duto do Quebo, aquário encantado and reino encantado. The wildlife is incredible and Rodrigo pulled out all the stops to make sure our first time in Brazil was magical. It has been a pleasure to complete our first trip to Brazil with Rodrigo. Nothing is too complicated for him. We both had so much fun and won’t forget the laughs, landscapes and interesting conversations we had a long the way. We travelled to Brazil after the Covid restrictions were lifted and can’t recommend Rodrigo enough to anyone looking to travel post covid. Rodrigo is switched on and will make sure you have THE best experience while keeping safe.

Yes, enchanting
Whilst it seemed to be busy with people at the reception / restaurant area, we actually got the aquario and salobra to ourselves. And what a treat. A fresh spring provides a wonderful natural aquarium, the water aquamarine in colour and oh so clear. With the snorkeling gear provided it was incredible to look down at the fish, some pretty sizable and just float looking at the world below. What was great is the ecological care that goes into preserving the attraction - a voucher scheme means that a limited amount of people can visit it in a given day, and compulsory guides ensure that visitors stick to the rules.
