Like Nowhere Else
The meeting of the waters is known throughout the world. As the Rio Negro and Amazon come together, the different colors of water don't mix for miles. There are swirls and eddies of brown and white water creating unending patterns. Just a coincidence of density, temperature and velocity, the coincidence is a happy one which you must not miss.

Unique natural marvel
Our tour included a 2 story boat ride, then a stop at a place with lots of floating restaurants (we didn't get to eat) to get into smaller boat to go up a side channel to see the giant lily pads before getting back on the larger boats to see the Meeting of Waters before our return to Manaus. Amazing natural beauty throughout. Where the 2 rivers came together was a very unique sight with the blue water meeting the brown. Not something to be missed. We were lucky enough to see a lily pad flower. They only flower for a couple days each year.
