Brewer's Bay, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

4.5 (156 reviews) Spent Ranking #14 in St. Thomas Bodies of Water • Beaches

Crystal clear water and walking through the sand. Is like walking through grass.

Take the West End to Brewer’s Bay, a lovely white-sand beach popular with the locals.

    Favorite beach! Sea turtles galore!
Our family’s choice beach by far! This is definitely a local’s beach & we met many nice locals with other children. We stayed at a resort with a private beach & visited the “public park beaches”; however, we loved Brewer’s. And, it is FREE. This is a no frills beach. We had our own chairs, snorkeling gear, & snacks/drinks. (Pic below shows the tree we sat under.) Saw many green sea turtles! More turtles than the catamaran snorkeling trip & other “fee” beaches by far. Highly recommend!

    Psst... Don't tell...
We visited 7 of the 10 major beaches on the island and kept coming back to this one. It offers calm waters in a well protected bay with clear waters. Pros: Not too busy, wide beach, shells, snorkeling (turtles and fish are here), toilet facilities, food trucks open along road, family friendly Cons: Literally across from airport so you see and hear all the airplanes coming and going, no shower facilities, parking along the street
