Beautiful to look at, but with a tour guide you get a better history of the building.

Reok Palace is the masterpiece of Ede Magyar. The palace was once a mansion for a wealthy water engineer (Istvan Reok) whereby Ede Magyar designed the palace around a water theme. The grand palace had a staircase made out of wrought iron with golden flowers, which is what the whole tour seems to be about these days. However, if you actually take a tour with a tour guide from the official tourist board you get a much better idea of its history and the subtle designs embedded within its brickwork.

    Amazing building!
    Palace Reok is a mind blowing green and lilac art nouveau building, just amazing! In the heart of Szeged, where the same kind water works with very storytale atmosphere.
