Bulb Fields
Every year begin the fields with the daffodil in march and then the hyacinth in april and then the tulip from april to end may, depend on the weather. As this year it was still cold in march, the tulip was a bit late. It's been two years in a row that the flower garden "Keukenhof" was closed due to the pandemic. But this year in april, there were three open days for limited visitors ( corona test mandatory ). The open bulb fields area is free to visit though some farmers would not be happy when you get in the field and walking among the flowers for selfie.

Don’t barge into the flower fields for a selfie!
In springtime (April and early May) huge and colorful fields of commercially grown bulb flowers in the Bollenstreek - say between Katwijk and Hillegom. You can organize your own tour by car or bicycle. But don’t walk into the flowers to take a selfie! The flower farmers hate it when herds of tourist start doing this.
