Nice even on a very cold day

My wife and I together with several nephews visited this facility on a very cold and windy day. Able to negotiate the complex internally, there were numerous shops and cafe stops and some incredible views as well. All the store holders were very friendly and clearly service oriented. Was also not expensive.

Worth dropping in with young teens and better value food than the beech
A little ram shackle but good fun, food and drink more reasonable and generous than the beech side. The big wheel is good with long views and sensibly priced. Ice creams on the top deck were tasty and correctly priced, also very welcome considering the high temperatures (32C). There was bungy jumping and a zip line for two people from a tower that did the length of the pier (the zip line), that seemed popular but not overcrowded

A bit of a disappointment - average dated seaside resort
We have to say as UK tourists we were a little bit underwhelmed with Scheveningen seafront / pier. We had seen photos on google and trip advisor and it looked a nice place, but when we got there we were a little disappointed. The buildings are a mish mash of concrete amongst a few nice buildings. The seafront had a decent number of bars along it and they seemed like a fairly nice place to sit with a drink but we didnt bother so cannot comment on the prices. We walked along the pier which was a little bit tired looking. There is a bungy jump and zip wire but we thought the prices were a little steep for a few minutes of excitement - even my teenage daughters thought that. The whole place though just seemed a little bit grotty, tired and and run down, like it had seen better days. It actually reminded us of a British seaside resort, but I think the UK has nicer places than this. If you are visiting the Hague for a few days then I suppose its ok for an afternoon or some time at the seaside, but don't think its anything particularly special either.
