Wonderful museum

Benetos Skiadas, an ordinary fisherman, managed to revive the Greek Tradition by creating his unique, functional and hand made miniatures using materials only from the Cycladic land. And all these without making any draft or using any scientific instruments. He created them only by using the divine gifts with which he was born; observation, perception, passion for creativity.The result is excellent and all the miniatures function in a perfect way.All his memories and personal experiences were strongly impressed on his mind and prompted him - with the help of his skillful hands– to revive the tradition and his dreams.The visitor can admire a all types of Greek ships such as warships, merchant ships and fishing boats which give you the impression that they are ready to sail. Gri-gri,drift-boats, steamships, sailing boats, triremes are all constructed with the traditional shipbuilding and are exact replicas of the genuine models.Open every day, 1 April - 30 Oct/ 10.00-17.00 entrance 5e.

Amazing and unique art and sculpture!
This museum is a beautiful and unique experience that could only be found on an island like Paros. The house and grounds are full of amazing works of art including paintings, intricate and ornate models of ships, and beautiful real stone models of island architecture. Katerina showed us around and told us the story of the space, and we got to meet the artist himself who was very kind and appreciative of our visit. One of the best five euro you can spend on the island!

One mans passion creates an enjoyable experience for all
We enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing how one man recreated so many iconic Greek structures. The small museum houses incredible models of Greek ships & boats. The host is lovely and the suggested 5 euros is very fair based on the overall experience.
