Anthony Quinn Bay, South Aegean, Greece

4.5 (6.874 reviews) Spent Ranking #5 in Dodecanese Beaches

Lovely spot for chilling and swimming

This bay served as a filming location to the movie 'Guns of Navarone', which was starred by the bay's namesake, Anthony Quinn. Here, you can rent a pedal boat to zip through the waters or chill on a lounge chair and bask in the glorious Greek sun. The beach sits adjacent to Ladiko Beach and you can park for free between both beaches—but get there early in the morning to secure a spot. Alternatively, hop on the public bus from the village of Rhodes or take a boat tour around the island and stop for a refreshing splash here. – Tripadvisor

Nice beech Good memories Guns of Navarone
Go when temperatures are under 30 as it could be extremely hot here. Very crowded but most get Sun beds and umbrellas for €6 Shower is clean to dip into sea and only caution is the step ladder into sea is very very slippery and underneath rocky base So watch if very young kids are older swimmers . Water despite heavy occupancy is clean and cold . We tried late evening when most tourist were leaving and we enjoyed it well.

Very beautiful inlet with clear waters
Anthony Quinn Bay is a beautiful inlet of water with crystal clear waters. There is free parking at the top, the some steps to climb down to the bay. On the stony beach, there are sunbeds and umbrellas to hire. The waters are very clear so good for snorkelling although we didn't see many fish. As we visited in April, the water was blooming freezing! There is a bar at the top called Kounna Beach & Resto Bar. It has fantastic views across the bay. Due to the time of year we visited, it wasn't very busy, but I can imagine in high season that the beach gets very crowded and lots of boats come into the bay and drop anchor.
