Memoire d'Agadir, Souss-Massa, Morocco

Excellent little museum

Very informative museum chronicling the devastating earthquake of 1960. Made up of maps, photos and newspapers. It shows the town before the quake, during and the aftermath with the aid and rescue operation and the subsequent reconstruction. Right next to the Portugese Garden which you can enter through the back of the museum. This is not a slick interactive museum but a worthwhile one and thoughtfully laid out. It is interesting to see how Agadir looked in the 50's when it was a chic and bustling resort.
