Vukovarska Ada, a sandy island on the Danube, is a favorite place for excursions and bathing resort of locals. It is only a 5 minute boat ride from the city center. During the summer months Vukovar fishermen organize boat transport from the city center and back every day from 10:00 to 20:00.

Relaxing river swimming
Local family’s go to this island where they spend the day under trees and swimming in the river. There is a bar there which is reasonable in cost as for locals. In all the years I have been (8) I have yet to meet someone from England, but complete relaxation is assured
