Oldest wine cellar in Croatia still in use
We went here to do some wine tasting as in this region there are a lot ofe wineries. This cellar has a lot more to offer than just wine tasting. It tells the story of almost 800 years of winemaking and famous historic figures visiting the castle and it's cellar over the course of history. Wine tasting and related tourism is probably still underestimated in Croatia. If you like wine and history, please go here! There is more to Croatia than the beautiful coast.

A must-do in Kutjevo
We visited the winery on a very short notice as (2) individual visitors. I contacted the winery a day ahead to check on the visiting options/hours and was put in touch with Valentina, a young expert that ended up being our guide. She was very fast in responding to all of our questions via email and was a true well of knowledge during our visit. Her English is excellent and the love for her job palpable. The estate is somewhat of a symbol of the region, with a nice castle and a large production line. The visit was informative and personalised, and we were pleased with the wines we tasted. Make sure you don’t miss out if you are passing by.

Great wine story
One of the oldest wine cellars in Croatia, accompanied by an excellent story and anecdotes from its history. Wines are of high quality and, besides tasting, you can buy a wide variety of wines at affordable prices in their winery shop. I recommend visiting and nearby, something smaller but very high quality wineries (Krauthaker, Perak, Enjingi, Adžić, ...).
