Definitely Shira deserves poems and novels and not just some reviews from the tourist's side :). Its immense size of 35 sq km, its imposing and picturesque shores, and the quality of its curing water cannot be described just with few words - it's necessary to be there and to feel all that. Yes, it's situated far enough from a big Siberian city, Krasnoyarsk (some 400 km but the quality of roads is good enough to achieve it) and closer to the capital of Khakassia (some about 100 km from that) but if you have a chance to visit those regions particularly in July-August (the very months when you could take bathes and swim) find some time to acquire new impressions from this generous present of our nature. Despite the fact that Shira is surrounded by very ordinary villages you'll be able to accommodate yourself at some nice places - I dare to recommend the boarding house Altair pertaining to some space company since it's the only one having its own completely prepared beach and very nice large territory. Besides, if you stay there, at least, for one week you could feel innate improvements of your skin since Shira is a lake with a unique quality of water with its mild salinity - it is a natural resort where people with many health problems are treated by our nature. In the very morning the water is so plain that you could swim for hours :) - I, for example, spend on that up to two hours swimming along its shores far away :). Thus, accumulate your forces for a very interesting journey and if after this COVID-period you'd decide to visit Siberia in the summer :) include this lake in your itinerary and you don't regret about that :).
