Fisherman's Park Dam, Tennessee, United States
4.0 (18 reviews) Spent Ranking #3 in Shelbyville Dams
A very popular spot to cool off
Fisherman's Park Dam was very crowded on the day that we visited. Lots of families were at the "beach" area swimming or taking a dip, despite the warning about the swiftness of the water. Others were sitting on top of the damn suntanning and relaxing. What a picturesque location. I can see why it's such a popular place in the summer.

Fisherman's Park & Dam
This is a nice little park near the Courthouse Square. An old hydroelectric plant and the dam are the main features of the park. Which is a visual delight! Overall it is a pleasant little park for a picnic or to read a good book and is a well known "fishing hole". Be cautious, as flooding may take place during heavy rain periods. No bathroom facilities are available and food may be purchased from merchants located in the Courthouse Square area.

Picturesque
We found this park on Trip Advisor but could not locate it on the Bedford County map so we asked a police officer who gave us directions. The park itself went unnoticed by me as the river and dam took all my attention as it was so picturesque.
