Yingze Park, Shanxi, China

What a fantastic park
You won't run out of things to do at Yingze Park, which is almost directly in the middle of the city. There is a pond with little boats to rent, places to buy kites, trinkets, food, and drinks, and a little area to feed the [already fat] birds. This is both fun and amusing. I learned quickly, these birds have no fear of flying right up into your hand to get food. There's also an aquarium and a little amusement park, both of which I have yet to go to. This park is clean and very beautiful, with nice trees, flowers, and plants decorating it. My favorite part is the never ending weeping willows draping over the pond. These made for many fantastic pictures. I have been to Yingze so many times, and still have yet to walk through the whole park. It is massive! I swear it's at least a mile in every direction. The only bad part, in my opinion, is that you aren't supposed to go on the grass, which I don't understand. I consider parks to be the prime place to walk, sit, and play on grass. I did find a little spot on a hill to sit on for a little while. I'm not sure whether it was allowed, though. Despite the grass issue, this is a place to go to over and over again. Please don't miss the chance to visit Yingze, if you are in Taiyuan.

Awesome park in downtown Taiyuan
It was clean, we felt safe and lots of locals enjoying it alongside us. People were very friendly. It had a mix of city park and amusement park all in one. KFC was across the street!
