I spend 2 days in Taiyuan, the most interesting thing is to visit Shuangta Temple, traditional architecture are are amazing... the highlight is climbing the bigger temple and take a photo of the small temple.

Most interesting thing to do in Taiyuan

interesting ancient monument
Ancient monument in otherwise industrial town. Lovely peaceful place. You can climb the pagodas for a stunning view, smog permitting. Otherwise walk the grounds and visit the temple on the lower level..
