Dont miss the special effect show if you go inside
There is a special show with some special effects inside the museum which is viewable for an additional charge and it is actually the only fun part of the museum. We actually got the SEA aquarium+Museum combo ticket so that we did not have to wait in the queue to get into the Aquarium. The museum has some photo-worthy exhibits. But this is not a must-experience attraction. If there is no waiting line at the aquarium, then you can skip this.

Experience Asian Trading Routes of Ancient Times
We are regular visitors to Singapore (also having lived and worked there for several years) and are always looking for something new to do each time we visit, so this was a first time visit for us. The excellent use of audio visual aids and some hands on activities, makes for a very interesting and engaging time at this museum. For me the highlight was the simulation of being on an ancient trading vessel which is caught in a storm. I didn't realise it at first but the floor actually drops as we sink to the bottom of the ocean while our boat is destroyed. Unfortunately the simulation only goes for about 10 mins and then all the fun is over. I think there is potential to extend the program even further to make it even more enjoyable. I thought the entry fees were very reasonable. $15 adults, $10 seniors, not sure for children. If you want to experience the simulation, it is an extra $3 (well worth it). The museum is next door to the aquarium which is a must see.
