Lovely to see...
The building is a lovely one to see, with a lovely well-maintained facade, and fits in nicely as part of a self-guided heritage trail that you can take to merge all of the attractions into a nice little walk across the city.

Well worth a visit
My wife and I took our two girls there. Entrance was free but even if they charged an entrance fee it is worth a visit. It houses lots of historic artifices which are all described both in Bahasa Malaysia and English. The building itself is also historic and well maintained and its staff are all very friendly. If there is anything that could be improved it would be to produce a souvenir guide that people could purchase containing photos of the exhibits along with a description of their history.
