Lord Murugan Statue, Selangor, Malaysia

4.5 (22 reviews) Spent Ranking #6 in Kuala Selangor Points of Interest & Landmarks • Monuments & Statues

Impressive statue

This statue is of Murugan, the son of Parvati and Shiva, brother to Ganesha and the Hindu God of War. For a god of war, the depiction of Murugan looks rather benign. Cheerful even. Stil, it’s impressive for its height at nearly 50 metres. You cannot miss this sculpture if visiting Batu caves as it’s right next to the entrance at the bottom of the stairs. Impressive and worth seeing.

such a great place, must see
It's a temple in which I felt peace and quiet, kinda goes well with my beliefs. There are so many stairs to the top, but it's worth it. The great statue is one of a kind! The art, the culture, which you can see live, because people come and visit, they hold ceremonies also. Monkeys are all over the place and they sometimes steal stuff from your pocket (sooo funny). I think it's a must see place in Kuala Lumpur. oh! don't forget trying the coconut juice!
