Great place for rock climbing

Highly accessible from the city, only 30-40 mins drive to the location. The facilities (toilet, food, skate park, etc) are well-maintained and clean. There’s a lot of things to do there! Rock climbing, absailing, trekking, cave exploration, etc. Will come frequently!

    Thumbs up for abseiling
There are a few package options but, we settled for abseiling. A scamper up a flight of stairs, through the cave to the Opening of Fig Tree Cave for our multiple descends. On February 9th, though it was just the three of us, we had two instructors who gave us their undivided attention. To vary the feel of each descend, we could try a variety of descend devices, Figure of 8, Grigri, Self Braking Descenders (I think that’s what it is called), ATP… For me, if you are lighter, the Figure of 8 is easier. If you are heavier, the Self Braking Descenders is a good one to try. My son is afraid of heights and needed some encouragement. Raman (A Level 3 SEACF instructor), was brilliant with him. Though Raman's English is limited, it was enough to get instructions across, settle my son and have him descending in no time. What next? Potholing perhaps.

    All that rock rocks..
Friendly and profesional staff. Thanks haikal & sadiq for being so patient with us. I envy those climbers who lives nearby because there are so close to a natural wall with easy access and well maintained route, hangers and anchors. If you are planning to climb here, come during weekdays because during weekends it will be packed with groups of climbers. You can either book your climb through an operator or just walk-in if you have your own climbing gear. If its too much of a burden, you can rent climbing gears here. Always check the weather forecast while planning. You can waze your drive to get here or use e-hailing service. There are other activities available here, all listed in their website. Be sure to bring snacks and plenty of water. Have fun climbing. Oh by the way the entry fee for the toilet is rm0.50. ?
